A poisonous yellow-bellied washed ashore Thursday in Huntington Beach has been found dead, Surfrider Foundation said. Before this, the extremely venomous snake has been seen only twice in California.

The snake was found by a volunteer who was cleaning up Bolsa Chica State Beach with 274 other individuals. The volunteer put the snake in a zip lock bag and took it home to store in the refrigerator. The reptile was found to be a poisonous species when the volunteer’s son examined the snake’s species.

The company made the announcement regarding the delay from the FDA on Friday, saying that the federal agency isn’t done with the drug review so far. The drug has been designed for the treatment of rare disorder Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).

The FDA was to take a decision on the drug approval by December 27. The agency has anticipated that it will give its decision in early January.

A study published in the British Medical Journal’s special Christmas issue, which is packed with quirky studies, has discovered that mustaches still outnumber women in medical power positions. The study has a serious topic: ‘Sexism in science and medicine’.

Such mustaches are quite rare, as the researchers cited reports that less than 15% men in the United States sport such facial hair.

The researchers wrote in the study that they have defined a mustache as the visible hair presence on the upper cutaneous lip. This included both stand alone mustaches and also mustaches in combination with other facial hair.
