London [UK], Sept. 24 : Blaming Wayne Rooney's disappointing form for the criticism he attracted when playing for England against Slovakia, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that the skipper doesn't enjoy any privileges and can be dropped from the team.

Mourinho, who is under the scanner after United slumped to three successive defeats last week, would not, unlike his predecessor Louis van Gaal, guarantee Rooney a starting place.

The Portuguese is considering leaving the 30-year-old out of Saturday's game against Leicester City and has made it clear that Rooney no longer enjoys the "privileges" as skipper he used to under van Gaal.

"He is our captain, but of course, no privilege - he is like anyone else," the Guardian quoted Mourinho as saying.

New Delhi [India], Sept. 24 : Popular American television program, ' Good Morning America' recently saw Priyanka Chopra talking of coveting the role fictional British Secret Service agent James Bond a.k.a. 007.

The 'Quantico' star attended the show presented by retired American footballer, Michael Strahan. Co-star Blair Underwood also accompanied Priyanka.

When asked if she would like to be the next Bond girl, Priyanka said she would like to be the " next Bond", adding it would be really cool to have a "female Bond" this time around.

Washington D.C. [USA], Sept. 24 : Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations, Emma Watson made a respectable call for gender equality in a recent speech at 'HeForShe' campaign in New York but a UK tabloid daily took it as a means to make fun of the Hollywood actresses.

In a clip from 'The Sun' newspaper, (which was captured by Louise Ridley and posted on Twitter), the writer, Rod Liddle, condemns Watson for her "boring, whining, leftie, PC crap," adding that it was something "all actresses do if we are stupid enough to give them the chance," reports E! Online.

The 56-year-old English journalist, in the message, suggests that the 'Harry Potter' actress, 'Hermione Granger' should "stick to telling the rules of Quidditch or how to turn someone into a frog."

St. Petersburg [Florida], Sept. 24 : Indian tennis ace Leander Paes and his German partner Andre Begemann entered the finals of the St Petersburg Open by clinching a straight-sets victory against the Russian pair of Mikhail Elgin and Alexander Kudryavtsev in the men's doubles event on Friday.

The Indo-German defeated the Russian pair 6-3, 7-6 in a match that lasted for more than 90 minutes.

Paes and Begemann started off comfortably by winning the first set in just 35 minutes. However, the Russian pair came back with a spirited performance after being 0-2 down in the second set. The Indian-German duo won the tie-breaker 7-5 despite being behind 0-2 and then 2-5.

Guntur [India], Sept. 24 : Andhra Pradesh is reeling under the impact of heavy rains for the last four days with the well marked low pressure in Bay of Bengal, which now persists over Telangana and adjoining areas, south Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha.

At least seven persons have so far died in Guntur district alone and many went missing across the State.

The district is badly hit by heavy showers as around four thousand people were shifted to 30 shelters by the district administration from flood affected areas.

Roads suffered a maximum with 300 km of roads damaged hampering traffic.

About 1.5 km of railway track got breached which is being restored on a war footing basis.

Crop in 36,500 acres damaged due to continuous downpour and stagnant waters.
