New Delhi [India], Oct.11 : Train passengers and tourists in India can now look forward to travelling in state of the art coaches having glass ceiling and equipped with ultramodern infotainment system. And they have to wait till just December this year.

These coaches have been jointly designed by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), Research, Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO), and Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Perambur (Chennai).

Iwata [Japan], Oct.11 : Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. announced today that it has developed a new unmanned helicopter, the FAZER R. on sale from November 2016, this high-end industrial unmanned aircraft (commonly known as "drones") model is designed for the agricultural sector.

As it can carry a load of 32 liters of spray, the largest ever in Yamaha Motor's range of industrial-use unmanned helicopters (" unmanned helicopters"), the FAZER-R will have the ability to spray chemicals over four hectares of land without the need to reload or refuel, allowing significant increases in efficiency and labor saving for agricultural spraying.

Washington D.C. [USA], Oct. 11 : Growing up in a warm family environment in childhood is associated with feeling more secure in romantic relationships in the age of 80s, suggests a recent research carried out at Harvard Medical School.

The findings show that men who grew up in caring homes were more adept at managing stressful emotions when assessed as middle-aged adults, that helps to explain why they had more secure marriages late in life.

Lead researcher Robert Waldinger said, "Our study shows that the influences of childhood experiences can be demonstrated even when people reach their 80s, predicting how happy and secure they are in their marriages as octogenarians,"

Washington D.C. [USA], Oct. 11 : In a recent research, scientists have prevented the development of Alzheimer's disease in mice by using a virus to deliver a specific gene into the brain, hence, opening avenues for potential new treatments of the disease.

Previous studies by the same team suggest, this gene called PGC1 - alpha, may prevent the formation of a protein called Amyloid-beta peptide in cells.

Amyloid-beta peptide is the main component of Amyloid plaques, the sticky clumps of protein found in the brains of people with Alzheimer's disease.

These plaques are thought to trigger the death of brain cells.

Alzheimer's disease affects around 520,000 people in the UK. Symptoms include memory loss, confusion, and change in mood or personality.

Dubai [UAE], Oct.11 : The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced that it will present the Test Championship mace to Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli at the Holkar Stadium in Indore after the end of the third and final Test of the three-match series against New Zealand.

On behalf of the ICC, former Indian captain and ICC Cricket Hall of Fame Sunil Gavaskar will make the presentation immediately after the awards ceremony for the series.

India is assured of the top ranking, but will officially overtake Pakistan at the top of the table only when the rankings are updated at the end of the series.
