Mumbai, July 16 : Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who has found immense fame in India, says it is difficult to organise shows for Indian artists in his country because of terrorism.

"It's not that Indian artists are not welcome there. It's just that at present the country is going through a very rough patch," Khan told IANS in an interview, explaining why there were more shows of Pakistani personalities in India than of Indian artists in Pakistan.

According to official reports, a Florida man was sentenced to 18 1/2 years in prison on Thursday for killing his father by slashing his throat.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel has reported that Erin Atac, 30, of Lighthouse Point avoided the maximum penalty of 30 years for manslaughter despite having once told police "I'd do it again and again, if I could, no hesitation."
