CII-National-CouncilA CII National Council meet has started. It will be attended by seventy CEOs from various leading firms, in order to talk about matters relating to FDI and infrastructure and the role of the private sector in helping in the progress of the Naxal-affected areas.

In the meet, the CEOs of the various industries will discuss issues regarding economic growth and methods how to raise it to over 10 per cent in a short duration of time.

CMC net profit up by 65.73%

CMC-LtdLeading IT firm of the country CMC Ltd. has announced its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11 and it has managed to post an impressive 66% rise in its net profit figure. CMC Ltd. is a subsidiary of software major Tata Consultancy Services.

The company has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 46.44 crore for the quarter that ended in 30th June, 2010. The consolidated net profit was reported to be Rs 28.02 crore for the same quarter in the financial year 2009-10. This net profit figure has grown up by 65.73% in this quarter as compared to the same quarter in the last fiscal.
