Ormanjhi, July 10 On Wednesday fear hit the minds of people when a bus rammed into a scrap-laden truck at Ormanjhi, 18 km from Ranchi taking life of at least 20 people and leaving 8 others injured.

“The accident occurred when the driver of the bus tried to avoid hitting a motorcyclist near Pallu village,” Deputy Inspector General of police R K Mullick said.

“So far 14 bodies, including that of the driver, have been extricated from the bus and the rest were being brought out,” he said.

There were around 30 passengers for Ramgarh inside the bus.

The bus was carrying around 30 passengers from here to Ramgarh.

“The bus overturned after the truck hit it from behind at Palu village under Ormanjhi police station,” he said.

“The packed bus was on its way to Ramgarh from Ranchi,” he added.(ANI)
