Mahindra FirstChoice target 1 lakh units by 2014

Mahindra-FirstChoiceThe country's leading multi-brand pre-owned car company, Mahindra FirstChoice recently said that the company is targeting unit sales of close to one lakh units by the year 2014 in the domestic market.

A part of the $7 billion conglomerate, Mahindra & Mahindra, further said that the company will expand its dealership base to 300 by end of March 2014.

It is to be mentioned here that the company sold 18,034 cars in the last fiscal, is looking at doing about 36,000 units in the current financial year. ''M&M president for HR, after markets & corporate services and member of the group executive board, Rajeev Dubey recently said that the company will sell close to one lakh units by 2014 in the Indian market.

Notably, Dubey was in the Capital to inaugurate the 125th dealership of the company. The company still expects to generate a large chunk of its unit sales from urban areas and expects the unit sales to be in the ratio of 80:20 in the urban and rural areas respectively.

Maruti True Value, Hyundai Advantage and Ford Assured are names of subsidiaries of a handful of auto majors that already operate in second hand car business.
