Government to launch brand Delhi campaign, a new song on Delhi theme
The capital city of India, Delhi is all set to launch a new brand campaign to promote brand Delhi. States like Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka etc. already have brand campaigns running to attract tourist from across the country and beyond the borders too.
In a similar attempt, the heart of the country Delhi is planning to bring out a new campaign highlighting the city's tourist destinations.
So far, the plan is to launch the campaign before the commonwealth games start. The popular band Euphoria is working on a theme song based on Delhi and its attractions. The song will be in English and will target to attract international tourists.
Another song, targeted at the local tourists is also on the cards and the news is that it will be a Sufi song to be sung by Daler Mehndi or Kailash Kher. Delhi Tourism Managing Director Rina Ray said at the Delhi Tourism Conclave that the campaign will kick off during the commonwealth game but will go an as a long term initiative to promote brand Delhi.
To promote the city as a fun as well as safe tourism destination, the government has planned to set up a separate call centre and a 24*7 website to help the tourists during the commonwealth games.
