As a part of groundwork move for the final launch of Microsoft's next version of the Office suite in the first half of next year, the company Tuesday announced having begun extensive testing of the product. Code-named Office 14, the product will be expectedly dubbed Office 2010, with all its allied gears to also come with the 2010 mark. While some of the earliest testing of Office 14 was undertaken by the company in 2008 called for a technology preview, with a beta to follow this year; the details of the recent not-so-pushy schedule have not been divulged.
The third beta of iPhone OS 3.0 has been launched by Apple, though with comparatively minor changes to the developer APIs. However, Ars has reported that the beta includes a rather significant transformation to push notification methods - badge, text alert, and sound.
Ending his two-year stint as the founding CEO of NDTV Convergence, Sanjay Trehan resigned from the post on April 13, 2009; to reportedly join a consumer-focused Internet company.
Overseeing NDTV operations since he took over as CEO on 10 March 2007, Trehan was responsible for running the dotcom and mobile assets of the group, including its flagship NDTV. com. Indian Stock markets continued the upward move on Wednesday as well. The markets opened sharply lower on the back of weak global cues and disappointing guidance from Infosys, but saw significant recovery from the day's low as huge buying interest from the Institutional and local players helped the Sensex successfully to close above 11,000 mark while the Nifty to close above the 200-day moving average of 3,425.
The BSE Sensex has touched an intraday high of 11,337 before closing the day at 11,284 up 318 points or 2.9%. The Nifty shut at 3,484 up 3% or 101 points after hitting a high of 3,497 and low of 3,336.
