A group of Youth Congress members burnt an effigy of AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi in City Light area of Surat on Sunday morning.
These members charged Rahul for selecting wrong people to oversee the recently held Youth Congress elections in Surat.
It is learnt that the activists, led by Rajesh Jain, who was a candidate for the elections from the Majura gate constituency and lost the polls after garnering just five votes shouted slogans against Rahul Gandhi.
In a significant move, an application was filed in the court by the Bar Association Baramulla on Saturday for the immediate shifting of leading J & K separatist leader, Shabir Shah to SKIIMS hospital, Soura.
In its application the Bar said that the health of Shah was dropping fast with each passing day and the continuous medical laxity may bear out serious for his life. The Bar said, “Shah is a pro-freedom leader of international repute and his arrest was done under a well planned conspiracy to malign his image.”
Lahore, Apr 6: Tehreek-I-Taliban Pakistan chief Baitullah Mehsud has been able to escape several attempts to kill and capture him because he has friends in the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency.
An “increasingly-emboldened” Mehsud has claimed credit for the several attacks in Pakistan and also for threatening to attack the US.
“Soon we will launch an attack in Washington that will amaze everyone in the world,” he said last week.
Jakarta - An airplane belonging to the Indonesian Air Force crashed Monday afternoon in West Java capital of Bandung, claiming some lives, news reports and officials said.
The Fokker airplane crashed at about 12:30 pm (0530 GMT) at Bandung's Hussein Sastranegara airport, reported detik. com online news portal.
An official at Bandung's Hassan Sadikin hospital said that an ambulance carrying eight body bags had been sent to the airport, but she was not sure how many people have been killed in the accident.
