London, December 20: A one-year-old Argentine baby boy apparently had the same fate as wild child Mowgli in Disney's film The Jungle Book, when he was found being kept alive by cats on the streets.

Police officers who found the tiny lad were surprised to see how the cats snuggled up to keep him warm during freezing nights, which would otherwise have claimed his life.

The animals licked the baby boy as he ate scraps foraged by them.

They even hissed when a female cop approached the boy in Misiones, Argentina.

The tot was rushed to hospital, where doctors suggested that he was kept alive by the care he received from the animals.

London, Dec 20: Britain will no longer have any stake in the production of its nuclear warheads after the Government secretly sold off its shares in the Atomic Weapons Establishment in Aldermaston to an American company.

British ministers agreed to sell the remaining one-third ownership of the state-owned nuclear firm BNFL in the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) to the California-based Jacobs Engineering Group, a global engineering firm that already carries out work for the nuclear weapons and research establishment in Berkshire, The Independent reported.

London, December 20: A study of government records in Britain has shown that Scottish soldiers who gave their lives defeating the Third Reich during WWII were more intelligent than those who survived.

Study leader Ian Deary, a psychologist at the University of Edinburgh, revealed that the 491 Scots who died had achieved an average IQ score of 100.8 in IQ tests administered to them at age 11.

He also revealed that several thousand survivors, who had taken the same test that was administered to all Scottish children born in
1921, averaged 97.4.

The researcher highlighted the fact that several previous studies had suggested that smart people normally lived longer than their less intelligent peers.

London, Dec 20: The son of Britain's Josef Fritzl who made his two daughters pregnant 19 times during almost 30 years of rape and physical abuse has revealed that he had reported the matter to police and social services more than a decade ago but no action was taken.

The 56-year-old Sheffield father, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was given 25 life sentences and ordered to serve a minimum of 19 years and six months.

Now, his son, who also cannot be named, revealed that the whole family was terrorised and that even when the authorities were told of the abuse it still did not stop.

In a significant move, the State High Court stayed the Medical Council of India (MCI) order, directing the medical colleges to discharge 145 Post Graduate (PG) students who were admitted in the state under government quota.

Hearing a petition filed by a resident of Dharwad, Justice B S Patil stayed the order of MCI discharging 145 Post-Graduate (PG) medical students who have been admitted in various private medical colleges earlier this year.
