Environment ministry would like to introduce GM food like the Bt Brinjal in India but the health minister, Anbumani Ramadoss has promised to oppose. Ramadoss said on Tuesday, “All GM food must undergo tests in Indian conditions before they are allowed into Indian markets. The Bt Brinjal has not been tested in India. I am writing both to the PM and the agriculture minister about this.”

Washington, Dec 18: Alcoholics, who want to abstain from alcohol during the festival season, have been given a fresh hope by a group of scientists.

They have recommended a monthly shot-an injection that keeps boozers off the alcohol for one month.

Over Christmas and New Year, social pressure and opportunities to drink often make alcoholics succumb to taking a few shots of the hard stuff, and that too despite efforts to keep off from liquor.

A survey-based website named SentForever. com was set up with the idea of sending romantic declarations of love into the cosmos.

However, they have been flooded with people wanting to text aliens.

"Lots of people believe we're not alone. They send messages saying `I am here, I am ready', or `Waiting for you to contact me'," the Sun quoted spokesman Chris Thomason, as saying.

In two separate attacks, Naxalite guerillas destroyed a tower of Reliance Communications (R-Com) and a telecom exchange of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) in the Kanker district of Chattisgarh.

Infact, women found dominance strategies of the latter type to be attractive primarily when men used them in the context of male-male athletic competitions.

The research has been published in the journal Personal Relationships.

Jeffrey K. Snyder, Lee A. Kirkpatrick, and H. Clark Barrett conducted three studies with college women at two U. S. universities.
