BEML thrash clueless BEL

Impressive performances by Jotin and Tiken; Jackson and Jaya Kumar score a brace each

Samuel Jackson and Jaya Kumar scored two goals each as BEML overwhelmed BEL 4-0 in the BDFA Super Division league at the Bangalore Football Association stadium on Wednesday. In the 'A' division league, AGORC and DYSS drew one-all, with Suresh scoring for AGORC and Ramesh equalising for DYSS.

BEML were too skilful and too organised a side for BEL, who had just a couple of shots at the BEML goal throughout the match. The blue-jerseyed BEML boys however missed several chances, including a penalty late in the match, and BEL can count themselves lucky that they didn't go down by a higher margin.

Beaten Ranieri revels in warm welcome at ChelseaLondon  - Claudio Ranieri tasted defeat on his return Wednesday to Chelsea, but the Italian said that he still had fond memories of his time as head coach at Stamford Bridge.

Ranieri was back five years after his departure and received a standing ovation from the London club's fans, who still hold him in high regard.

Didier Drogba's first-half goal rather spoiled his enjoyment of the evening as Chelsea beat his Juventus side 1-0, but Ranieri will fancy his chances of orchestrating a turnaround in the return leg in a fortnight's time in Italy.
