Hong Kong - A Hong Kong golfer is suing a fellow player for 65 million Hong Kong dollars (8.3 million US) after being hit on the head by a wayward shot, a news report said Tuesday.
Computer expert Alan Deakins, 40, claims he has been unable to work since receiving head injuries in the incident on Christmas Eve 2006 at the former British colony's upmarket Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club.
Recently, the researchers from Canada reported that they have traced a likely owner of a dinosaur nest, left on a river’s edge nearly 77 million years ago. They also claimed that the discovery provides an innovative look at dinosaur reproduction and the evolution of birds.
“The nest, unearthed in northern Montana in the 1990s, likely belonged to one of two types of small, carnivorous dinosaurs,” said Scientists from the University of Calgary and Alberta's Royal Tyrrell Museum.
Cotabato City, Philippines - Three Muslim separatist rebels were killed while two soldiers were hurt in a clash in the southern Philippines, a military spokesman said Tuesday.
The firefight occurred on Sunday in the village of Malingaw in Shariff Aguak town, Maguindanao province, 960 kilometres south of Manila, according to Major Randolph Cabangbang.
Cabangbang said soldiers were on patrol in the village when they encountered a group of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) rebels, triggering the clash.

Jakarta - Indonesia's annual economic growth in the third quarter slowed from the second as the global financial crisis weighed on export demand, particularly for its commodities, media reports said Tuesday.
According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the economy expanded 6.1 per cent year-on-year in the third quarter, slowing from 6.4 per cent growth seen in the preceding three months. However, that was better than the expected growth of 5.9 per cent.
