Washington, Nov 26 : Britney Spears has landed a top German media award, which recognises her "comeback from an absolute low point" in her career, organisers of the event have said.
The 26-year-old has been named as the recipient of the Bambi award for Best International Pop Star – an annual television and media prize awarded by the Hubert Burda Media Group.
According to event organisers, the beauty is an inspiration after she bounced back following a tumultuous last 12 months, reports Contactmusic.
Hanoi (Vietnam) Nov 26 : President Pratibha Patil who is in a visit to Vietnam reached Hanoi, its Capital.
Patil is scheduled to meet Vietnam President Nguyen Minh Triet and other leaders on Thursday to discuss the ways and means to further strengthen the economic partnership between both countries.

Adelaide, Nov. 26 : So haunted was he by the fame that goes with his star status as a cricket player for Australia, that controversial all-rounder Andrew Symonds offered to take a massive pay cut of up to 250,000 dollars this year to avoid all off-field commitments.
Symonds made the offer in May during contract negotiations, after becoming the highest-paid overseas player in the Indian Premier League Twenty20 competition, with a deal worth about two million Australian dollars if he plays the full six weeks of the tournament.
Dublin - The Irish government announced Wednesday a target of 10 per cent of all vehicles to be electric by 2020.
Making the announcement on RTE state radio, Communications and Energy Minister Eamon Ryan of the Green Party said the ultimate target was "to switch our transport system off oil."
The plan was to have 40 per cent of vehicles electrically powered by 2030, he said.
Ireland is one of the most oil-dependent countries in the world, said Ryan, whose portfolio also includes natural resources, adding that it was well suited to switch to electric vehicles because of its size.

In this regard, Pakistan vice-captain Misbahul Haq had submitted a proposal with the constitution committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Sports Ministry last week, calling for cricketers to have an association.
