Microsoft plans to set up Halo 3 developer Bungie Studios as independent unit

The developer of Halo 3 and other Halo Series games, Bungie Studios will be launched as an independent company as per latest reports. The Game developer will continue developing games and with work on high end graphics projects and software giant Microsoft will keep its stake in Bungie Studios.

In a statement, Shane Kim Corporate VP, Microsoft Game Studios said, "We are supporting Bungie's desire to return to its independent roots."

As per reports Bungie Studios, which has been developing the best seller series Halo for Microsoft for the last seven years will work as independent company.

Sony BMG wins second European Commission approval

Japanese Electronics major Sony has won European Commission approval for its joint venture with Germany's Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG). The JV will create the second largest music company in the world. No conditions were imposed by EU’s antitrust authority on Sony BMG, the company that would place Sony and BMG in a strong position in music and records entertainment market.

This is the second approval for a Joint venture between both companies. An earlier approval was awarded in year 2004.

Lenovo offers low cost notebook for just Rs 31,750

The price for Lenovo notebooks start at Rs. 31,750 and the models are available at all authorized stores of Lenovo all over India. Lenovo G Series targets desktop consumers looking for mobility solutions at a small budget. An average notebook from Lenovo was costing around Rs 50,000 earlier.

As Dell.com informs, the new model is equipped with Intel Core 2 Extreme X7900 processor. However, alongside with this processor, the notebook can be made up of CPU Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 or T7500. Two video cards NVIDIA GeForce also enter into equipment 8700M GT (512 Mb), working in SLI mode, and the accelerator of physical calculations Ageia PhysX.
