Hyderabad/Panaji, Feb 2 : The budget sessions of the Andhra Pradesh and Goa Assemblies are to be held from today.

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly will kick start its ten-day session with Governor N. D Tiwari''s address to a joint sitting of members of Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council.

Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister K. Rosaiah will present a vote on account on February 5 to support the government''s moves to draw necessary funds till the completion of assembly elections.

In Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has formed a coalition with the Grand Alliance, led by the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP), to contest the coming Lok Sabha elections. The Communist Party of India (CPI) and the Communist Party of India- Marxist (CPI-M) are the other constituents of the alliance.

These parties together will coordinate on various public issues, including the recent Satyam Computers accounting fraud and irregularities in irrigation projects

The assembly session in Goa will last for five days.

Governer S C Jamir will announce plans and policies for the state in the coming year.

Over 900 questions are listed for the session in which the state government is expected to seek supplementary demands for grants in the year 2009-10.

The other bills that are expected to be introduced are the Goa Land Revenue Code Bill, the Goa Civil Code Bill, and the Goa Administrative Tribunal Bill. (ANI)
