Yuvi, VRV Breach Security Norms In ChandigarhChandigarh police officials have forwarded a written complaint to Indian Premier League (IPL) functionaries and the board of the Kings XI Punjab team Yuvraj Singh and another local player V. R. V. Singh elapsing from the Mountview hotel where the players are staying.

Mr. H. S. Doon, Chandigarh Superintendent of Police (security), stated, "Yuvraj and VRV slipped away from the hotel without informing the security officer and other police officers, who are deployed all through day and night for the security of the players. We have no problem if they go out but they should at least inform us so that we can ensure their security."

"They should inform us at least one hour before leaving the hotel. We are taking this issue very seriously and we have recommended strict action against these players," Mr. Doon said.

A police official said Yuvraj had gone to his house in his personal BMW car while VRV had gone to some unknown region. Yuvi's car has been stationed in the hotel parking continually.

Kings XI Punjab will take on Delhi Daredevils today at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium in Mohali, Punjab.

There were also reports that the security official positioned at the hotel has given a negative statement regarding Virender Sehwag and other Delhi Daredevils functionaries for using personal vehicles in place of official vehicles while getting out of the hotel.

In November 2009, when the Indian players was in Chandigarh to play a one-day match against Australia, Chandigarh police had complained against Yuvi, Dhoni and Bhajji for going against the safety cover. (With Input from Agencies)
