Yeddyurappa asks Renuka to stop making irresponsible statements
Bangalore, Feb 8 : Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on Sunday asked Women and Child Development Minister Renuka Chowdhury to stop making irresponsible statements on the Mangalore pub attacks.
"Let her come and ascertain the facts. A probe is on and the truth will come out. Till then she should stop making comments on the state government," Yeddyurappa told reporters in Bangalore.
"She has been making irresponsible statements," Yeddyurappa said, while referring to Chowdhury''s comment, in which she had stated that Karnataka government was supporting Indian-version of Taliban in India.
Yeddyurappa fiercely opposed Renuka's allegation that the Shri Ram Sena activists involved in the attack had state government's support.
"Five out of the six culprits have been arrested. Most of them (culprits) are not from the state. They do not belong to either BJP or Sri Ram Sena. Investigation is on and till it is completed she should not comment on the state government," Yeddyurappa said.
On Friday, the daughter of a Kerala MLA and her male friend were kidnapped and beaten up allegedly by Bajrang Dal activists. (ANI)
