Yamaha to launch YBR on April 14th
After gaining significant presence in the premium segment with its offering like R15 and FZ16, Yamaha India is all set to make a lot of noise in the entry-level biking segment. In fact, the company has been able to gain considerable share in the premium segment since it launched R15 in 2007 making a comeback in the Indian market.
But its success with the much-awaited YBR will be a crucial turning point for the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer's India journey.
Notably, Hero Honda even today stands tall in the entry level segment with its offering like CD100, Splendor and Passion along with the deep roots that it has in the rural parts of the country. However, with a different DNA of a much advanced and high technology backed products, Yamaha is expecting to gain a cushy spot for itself in the Indian two-wheeler segment.
If the company is able to hit the sweet spot of the Indian consumer, it will take the volumes up by many folds and hence will play a major role in its dream to grab a 10% market share out of the Indian two-wheeler market.
