Yamaha continues its smooth ride in March
After launching successful products like R15, Fazer and FZ16, Yamaha is surely on a roll. Continuing to strengthen its grip on the premium segment, the company managed to clock a spectacular 75% yoy growth in the month of March 2010.
Notably, the company sold 27,460 units in March 2010 as against 15,728 units sold in March last year. In fact, out of the total 27,000 the company sold 17,892 units while the remaining 9,568 units in the exports market.
For the uninitiated, the company banked volumes to the tune of 14,575 units in the domestic market and 1,153 in the exports segment in the corresponding period last year. Pankaj Dubey, National Business Head, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd said that as the company is well on its way to regain the consumer confidence in the Yamaha brand, its grip on the premium segment is getting all the more tighter by the day.
However, apart from the apt sales & marketing technology with the perfect blend of Yamaha DNA, its brand Ambassador John Abraham brings a lot to the table as he flaunts a biker image in the country.
