Winslet just can’t let her Best Actress Oscar out of her sight
Washington, February 25 : British actress Kate Winslet is so excited about her Best Actress Oscar victory that she just cannot let the statuette out of her sight.
The actress was honoured with the prestigious prize in recognition of her commendable performance in the film ‘The Reader’ during the Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday.
It was her first Oscar success after losing out five times previously.
The ‘Titanic’ star was later seen carrying the statuette at aftershow parties, and also to Oprah Winfrey''s U. S. TV chat show the following day.
Winslet even refused to pack the award in her suitcase when she flew to New York, and landed at JFK airport with the prize in a protective cloth.
She turned down photographers'' requests to uncover her new honour
