It is the latest news from the Korean maker Samsung which makes available its latest platform to the nation - 3D TV.

It is believed that with the introduction of these high priced models that goes upto 4.35 lakhs, will double up the sale pattern of the flat panel TV to 12 lakhs units and expects the 3D units to sell at least 30,000 units.

Prices starting at 1.35 lakhs go up to 4. 35 lakhs the company has released 10 models in India across LED, LCD and plasma platforms. Governing this, a spokesperson from Samsung said, "Our target is to sell around three lakhs LED TVs this year, out of which we expect 10 per cent to come from 3D televisions, which we have introduced today."

To provide a support for 3D movies Samsung has joined hands with Dreamworks Animation for 3D content and shall gift the buyer the latest animated 3D movie 'Monsters vs Aliens' as a complementary gift to the users.

It is speculated that the Samsung 3D is posed against Sony which earlier this month has proclaimed to venture in the same platform.
