Voltas secures two new orders worth Rs 300 crore
Voltas, India's premier global player in air conditioning and engineering services, has informed that its Electro-mechanical business has secured two orders worth Rs 300 crore.
The latest orders are picked for the new generation airports in India, namely Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) airport, and Chennai International airport.
Under the first order, Voltas will undertake HVAC, internal electrification, and plumbing & drainage system works at the new Integrated Passenger Terminal of Kolkata's international airport. The project is scheduled to be completed in 24 months.
The company claims that, NSCBI airport, once completed will be the nation's third largest (after Mumbai and Delhi) and handle a load of 2 crore passengers annually.
Further, the company has bagged second order for Chennai project regarding airport expansion. The scope of work includes HVAC, fire protection and internal electrification systems.
The contract is expected to be completed in 21 months.
