Voltamp Transformers earnings fall 12.4% for Mar`10 qtrVoltamp Transformers has recorded a sharp decline in standalone net profit for the three month period ended March 2010.

During the quarter, the company's profit fell 12.40% to Rs 264.52 million as against Rs 301.95 million in 2009.

Net sales during the quarter rose 9.36% to Rs 1,821.35 million, whereas total income for the quarter climbed 6.31% to Rs 1,870.58 million, when compared with the prior year period.

It recorded earnings of Rs 26.15 per share during the quarter, registering 12.40% fall over previous year period.

Voltamp Transformers Ltd was set up in the year 1963. Based in Vadodara, the company has installed facility to make oil filled power and distribution transformers up to 160 MVA, 220 KV class, Resin impregnated Dry type Transformers up to 5 MVA, 11 KV class (In Technical collaboration with MORA, GERMANY) and Cast Resin Dry type Transformers up to 12.5 MVA, 33 KV class (In Technical collaboration with HTT, GERMANY).
