Vogts stays on until 2011 as Azerbaijan coach
Baku - Berti Vogts will remain Azerbaijan coach for another two years, for the qualifying session for Euro 2012 which runs until the autumn of 2011.
The Azerbaijan football federation said in a statement that Vogts and the nation's football supremo Rovnag Abdullayev had reached an agreement to extend the partnership.
Vogts, 63, who coached Germany to the Euro 1996 title and has also been in charge of Scotland, took the job in April 2008. Azerbaijan came fifth in their six-team qualifying group for the 2010 World Cup. (dpa)
