Before the UID project gets on a roll across the country, the authorities are making sure that the Tembhli Village which is on the top of the list should get a proper identity. In fact, people in the Tembhli village are excited by the many firsts that are surrounding them for the past many days.

While the villagers have already witnessed a road being laid down before the inaugural function takes place, the local people have also had their share of the electricity close to eight days back.

It is to be mentioned here that the village is surely one of the most left alone places for the past many years but as the government has decided to kick-off the UID process from this region, the people at the village are certainly feeling blessed.

For the record, the people at the Tembhli village will be the first Indians to get their Unique ID numbers on Wednesday from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

While the decision surely has a lot of political and personal reasons, but the village is one of the best places to kick off the ambitious project.
