Chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh seems to be in trouble again, this time due to visiting the Taj Hotel along with his son and the famous director Ram Gopal Varma.

In his defense Deshmukh said, "it was sheer coincidence that Varma was present when I visited Taj Hotel. I had neither invited him nor knew about his presence. I have been trying to restore normalcy in city and boost the confidence of people by visiting hospitals and sites struck by terrorists."

Ram Gopal Varmaclarified further, saying, "I have no intentions of making any film on the subject. I had come across some reports that the chief minister had invited me to visit the Taj this morning. Let me please clarify that no such thing happened.''

"It is just that I happened to be with Ritiesh at that time. I really know him well. I did not see anything at the Taj that the TV coverage of the last three days has not already shown me,'' said Varma.

Varma is known for making films based on real life, especially on the underworld. . His films like `Satya,' `Company' and `D' are purportedly based on the life of underworld dons Dawood and Chhota Rajan.
