The Chandigarh-based Venus Remedies’ manufacturing facilities at Baddi Campus has secured Good Manufacturing Practices certificate from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran which will enable the Company to export its products to Iranian market.

Technical analysts believe that this is a major breakthrough for the Company as Iran holds a significant share in Middle Eastern Pharmaceutical market and would open door to other Middle Eastern Markets as well.

According to latest survey, the Middle Eastern Market is likely to be worth US$12bn by 2010 and is largely import oriented. The Company has already started filing of product registrations in Oncology segment which is going to be a big market for the Company in coming years.

A company official stated that Germany being a leading trade partner for Iran, the Company will be exporting to Iran through its German Subsidiary, Venus Pharma GmbH.
