In fact, while the company showcased the Vento the Indian consumer some months back, the company has recently unveiled the price of the model via a press release. According to the release issued by the company, German auto major Volkswagen says it will start selling its mid-sized sedan Vento priced between Rs 6.99-Rs 9.23 lakh in the Indian market from September this year.

Moreover, the statement mentioned the fact that the new Vento, which has been introduced in 1.6-litre petrol and diesel variants, will hit the Indian roads from September 6, 2010 and will available at all the dealers of the company by then.

It is to be mentioned here that while the petrol variant starts from Rs 6.99 lakh, the starting price for the diesel variant is Rs 7.99 lakh.

VW Group Sales India Member of Board Neeraj Garg said that Vento is surely a very strong addition to the portfolio of the company in the Indian market and is an extension to the commitment of the company towards the Indian consumer.
