Munich - Captain Mark van Bommel and striker Luca Toni said on Wednesday they are ready to play for Bayern Munich again in the next Bundesliga match at SC Feiburg on Saturday.

The Dutchman van Bommel and Italy's Toni are coming off injury layoffs, with Toni already back for a few weeks but yet to play in the league.

"I am ready for the Bundesliga," said Toni. Van Bommel said: "I could play against Freiburg but that is not for me to decide."

Munich are ranked a modest eighth in the league, eight points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen and SV Hamburg who meet on Saturday in Hamburg.

Munich coach Luis van Gaal has the offensive trio of Ivica Olic, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery injured which could speak in favour of Toni making his season debut in the Bundesliga. (dpa)
