Urinating Android forces Google to suspend Map Maker

Earlier, American multinational technology company Google was forced to make changes after a notorious incident. According to reports, a user noticed that someone created a mythical park in Pakistan where the Android mascot robot can be seen urinating over an Apple logo. It didn't end her. Another user saw a similar bit of graffiti. To stop all this, the company headquartered in Mountain View, California, has decided to take an action.

The company has decided to suspend its map maker. According to reports, the Map Maker service of the company will be temporarily unavailable from Tuesday. The reports were confirmed by the company through a message that the California-based Internet giant posted online.

In a forum post, Pavithra Kanakarajan, a member of the Google Map Maker team, said the company has been experiencing a number of attacks to spam Google Maps over few months. The recent incident was very unfortunate, Kanakarajan added. According to the reports, the pranks were done by some users with map making tools that allow a person to edit online maps.

According to Kanakarajan, a user created a big scale prank on the Map. "As a consequence, we suspended auto-approval and user moderation across the globe, till we figured out ways to add more intelligent mechanisms to prevent such incidents. All of our edits are currently going through a manual review process", Kanakarajan added.

Kanakarajan said that the company's edits are currently going through a manual review process. He added that there will be no more edits until Google works out how. According to Kanakarajan, the process of editing is a short term decision, but it is very difficult. It will help us get to a better state faster, Kanakarajan added.
