After the first contract was bagged by the Mindtree, a mid-size IT company, Unique Identification Authority (UIDAI) which recently has been renamed as Aadhar has shown to the bigwigs that there need to be proper sincerity in their approach if they want to be a part of this project. Notably, the authorities have recently opened bids for the second round for a project worth Rs. 145 crore.

Sources close to the development say that the bids will be submitted by the end of this week which is the deadline and nearly 15 vendors have submitted bids so far.

In fact, some companies which have shown interest in being the part of the project are as Wipro, Infosys, TCS, HCL, Mahindra Satyam as well as mid-sized software companies like Mindtree, Polaris, Patni and iGate.

While the first contract bagged by Mindtree was still small as it was worth Rs. 30 crore, it is expected that the UIDAI will be opening bids for several multi million dollar projects in the Indian market. Notably, the global companies have also shown a lot of interest in being a part of this project.
