UAE ready for Abu Dhabi Desert ChallengeUAE nationals are all set to take part in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge which would start next month. Mohammed bin Sulayem, President of the Automobile and Touring Club for the UAE (ATCUAE) and Vice-President, FIA, said, that the country has a lot of expectations from its nationals and hoped that they would emerge winners by securing top five positions.

He further expressed, “We have grown accustomed to seeing UAE nationals finishing in top five positions, and this is something which fills us with tremendous national pride every year.”

Yahya Bel Helei, who is among the most experienced off-road drivers in the UAE, is known for his robust performance. Having a glorious past and competing at every Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge since 1990. This year too he is ready for the World Rally Championship along with his compatriot Khalid Al Kendi.

The event is organized by the Automobile and Touring Club of United Arab Emirates (ATCUAE) and sponsored by Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA). HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region is the chief patron of the event.
