Two-day Chandigarh Carnival begins Nov 22
With 'Fun and Games' as the theme stated by Chandigarh's home and tourism secretary Ram Niwas, the two-day Chandigarh Carnival will be celebrated on November 22 and 23.
The Carnival, a yearly feature, will be inaugurated by UT Administrator, General S F Rodrigues (retd), at 11 am on November 22 at Leisure Valley, Sector 10.
The main attraction of this year's carnival will be a Mega Musical Nite on November 22, and a Mega Laughter Show scheduled November 23. Another feature will be the Carnival Parade - with colorfully decorated vehicles - from the Leisure Valley, passing through various sectors of the 'City Beautiful.'
The Administration also plans to delight the audience with a high-quality fireworks show.
The main entrance of the carnival will be designed by the students of Chandigarh College of Art. The three academies - Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi and Chandigarh Sahitya Kala Akademi - will also put their exhibits depicting the different art streams at the festival.
