Two Blasts in Hyderabad; Atleast 44 killed and many Injured

44 persons have already been reported dead and more than 50 injured as two powerful bombs went off almost simultaneously at an amusement park and a popular eating joint in Hyderabad. The two explosions took place at crowded Lumbini Park and Gokul Chat Bhandar this evening.

Three months earlier, there were serial blasts in Mecca Masjid in the city.

Several of the injured were battling for life in a government hospital. The injured persons were rushed the hospitals immediately and the treatment is going on to save their lives. Condition of 10 - 15 persons has been marked critical. Police is trying to find out the clues for two well-planned terror attacks in the city.

The first blast went off at Lumbini Amusement Park around 7.45 p.m. when some 900 people were watching a laser show. At least six people were killed there and many injured. Most of the victims are reported to be from other states. Before the authorities could react, another explosion happened at crowded food joint, Gokul Chat Bhandar. This location is nearly five kilometres away. More than 25 people were reported dead at that place.

The casualty figures were provided by state Home Minister K. Jana Reddy. As per the statement of Home Minister, the injured have been rushed to hospital and the best treatment will be provided. Police forces have been put on Alert. As per unofficial sources, the death toll could be more than 50.
