Tunga livens up the food experience
The first certified five star hotel in Navi Mumbai, The Regenza by Tunga (Tunga Regency) has laid down interesting mix for the residents. The hotel's ace dining bar, 'Something's Fishy' has introduced buffet for the first time at a very reasonable price, while 'Crimson' which offers coffee, grills and spirits, will start ladies' nights from March 5 onwards every Thursday.
'Something's Fishy' has introduced a lavish buffet in veg, non-veg and the sea food in which it excels. The daily lunch buffet (Monday to Friday) will cost Rs 375 excluding taxes while the Sunday brunch will cost Rs 595 plus taxes. The dining bar has an excellent mix of salads, rice plates, main courses etc.
Further, Tunga will be celebrating Thursdays with UK-based DJ Tarun and ladies' night out from March 5. Women who walk in 'Crimson' on Thursday between 8.30 and 11 pm will not have to pay for the alcohol and would have to pay only for the food. Post 11 pm, one will have to pay for everything.
The ladies' night event is strategically placed to begin from March 5 ahead of International Women's Day. However, it will be celebrated on every Thursday, couple of days ahead of weekend. DJ Tarun's music is said to be one of the best in the business and he plays various genre of music easily be it House, Hip- hop or R & B.
When asked the Chief Chef Tejas Bhoite why they are starting the events back-to-back now, he said, "Post terror attacks, we chose not to celebrate. However, now it is time to move on. The recession is around, but you have to give your customers something every time. Even when we didn't celebrate during New Year and Valentine's Day we had received great response from the crowd."
The hotel's ladies' nights concept is very innovative and city's women are pretty impressed with it. "The timings are good since it is not too early or late. Girls who have time restrictions at home can drink while munching on something and be home in time. While for working women it is an apt thing. You can land at Crimsons right after work with your gang, have fun, head home and yet be on time for work the next day. Also because it is on a weekday, I would hope that it is not too crowded," said a 24-year-old from Vashi who does not wish to be named.
Officially, The Regenza by Tunga is back in action with a new name and attractive and mouthwatering deals for the Navi Mumbaikars so that people have a pre-weekend fun.
