TTML Yearly Profit Up 140% At Rs 315 Crore

Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd has announced the results for the year Tata Indicomand the three months period ended on March 31, 2008.

The company has registered a growth of 140% in its cash profit, which stood at Rs 315 crore for the year ended on March 31, 2008.

For the same period, the company registers 26% growth in its revenues at Rs 1790 crore, whereas the EBITDA (earnings before interests, taxes, depreciation and amortization) climbed 60% to Rs 486 crore.

For the quarter ended March 31, the company has posted revenue of Rs 491 crore, as against Rs 391 crore during the corresponding period of the last year.

The company's EBITDA for the quarter ended March 31, stood at Rs 150 crore from Rs 97 crore during the same period last year.

For the same quarter, the company’s cash profit climbed up to Rs 97 crore as compared to Rs 59 crore last year.

Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Limited (TTML) spearheads the Tata Group's presence in the Indian telecom sector by being the premier telecommunication service provider, licensed to provide services in Maharashtra (including Mumbai) and Goa.

TTML's bouquet of telephony services include mobile, fixed wireless phones (FWP), public telephone booths & wireline services. Its suite of broadband Data Network & Application services include Leased Lines, DSL, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Managed Gateway services & Web Conferencing services.

At 1:00 p.m., TTML shares lost 0.6% at Rs 35.75 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
