TTL Hits 75 Mln Subscribers’ Mark In JulyTata Teleservices Limited, the country's fastest-growing dual-technology telecom service provider, has appended 2.32 million fresh subscribers (wireless and wireline) during the last month to hit the 75-million-subscribers' target in a short period of just over five-and-a-half years since the launch of its mobile telephony services in early 2005.

As on 31 July 2010, TTL closed July with a total of 76,058,908 subscribers (wireless and wireline).

The hitting of the 75-million-subscribers' mark by Tata Teleservices Limited and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited is all the more praiseworthy as the company has shown a subscriber growth rate of over 100% during the last 12 months as against 38 million subscribers mark in the same period of 2009.

The company has shown an extremely aggressive and firm growth in new subscriber additions since 2009.

While commenting on the landmark achievement, Mr. Anil Sardana, Managing Director of Tata Teleservices Limited, said, "We thank and appreciate every subscriber's faith in us as a transparent, caring and efficient telecom services company. With each new milestone crossed, we have raised our own internal benchmarks-in keeping with our larger objective of consistently enhancing and improving our standards, and of providing our customers with differentiated and lifestyle-impacting telecom services. The achievement also bears testimony to the efforts that have been put into making our network and services the best in the industry-we will continue to innovate and evolve, providing world-best products and offerings to our subscribers."

2009-10 has been an extremely flourishing one for the company during which it launched its new GSM brand Tata DOCOMO, rolled out its industry-changing 'Pay-Per-Second', 'Pay-Per-Call' and 'ULTA Plan' tariff plans, unleashed industry-best products like Photon TV and Mobile TV, and offered lifestyle-impacting products like Buddynet, diet-sms and many others.

"With the countdown on 3G services having begun, we will continue to walk the innovation path, providing our customers with differentiated products and services which will take telecom to the next level. We are working closely on the creation of such relevant products with our partners, particularly NTT DOCOMO, which is acknowledged as the world leader in telecom technology development; and look forward to the next wave in Indian telecoms," Mr. Sardana added.
