Toyota’s Camry to hit Indian market soon
Toyota Kirloskar Motors is set to rollout its mid-sized car Toyota Camry in India on July 31. The new model being developed by Toyota since 1980 is expected to give stiff competition to Honda's smartened Accord with a V6 and Skoda's luxury car, the Superb.
The Toyota Camry was initially introduced in at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. Its pricing detail is yet to be verified but it could be in the range price range of the Skoda Laura, Honda Accord V6, Hyundai Sonata Transform.
The incoming Camry will have stylish look with comfortable interior besides new front grill, new headlights, and new fog lamps. The car is equipped with 10 spoke alloy wheels, larger projector headlamps and Aux input for audio system to experience quality music.
The company allotted only 400 cars to India, available in Dark Green Mica Metallic and Beige Mica Metallic colors, for the financial year 2009.
The auto major has done everything to make it fuel efficient, providing a 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and increasing automatic transmission by 11 percent.
