The Indian arm of the world's largest auto major, Toyota Motor Corporation, Toyota Kirloskar Motors has recently said that the company will begin with the trial production of the Etios from September.

It is to be mentioned here that the company is starting the trial production for the production almost three months before the actual date of the launch of the product in the Indian market. It may be noted here that production will start from the second plant of the company for which it has invested close to Rs. 3,200 crore in the Indian market.

The Japanese auto major has a JV agreement with the Kirloskar Group for the Indian market in which the Kirloskar Group holds close to 11% share in the Indian market. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) Deputy Managing Director
(Commercial) Shekar Viswanathan said that before starting the commercial production of the model in the Indian market, the company will have close to two rounds of trial production.

Moreover, Vishwanathan also pointed out that the first round will begin in the month of September and the second round will begin in the month of October.
