Prime Minister of Thailand Somchai Wongsawat will visit India on Thursday.

He will attend the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Summit at New Delhi.  

Somchai is scheduled to meet his Indian counterpart Dr Manmohan Singh during his visit to New Delhi.

Somchai leaves on Wednesday evening for New Delhi to take part in the second BIMSTEC Summit, his office announced.
 
Somchai will also hold a bilateral talks with Nepalese delegation and will later join the other BIMSTEC leaders in a courtesy call on President Pratibha Patil.
   
The Thai prime minister will also meet representatives of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Thursday afternoon.
