Left, BSP and TDP demand immediate convening of Parliament session

President Pratibha Patil to inaugurate Institute of Kashmir StudiesNew Delhi, Sept 9 : Leaders of the Left, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and other non-Congress and non-BJP parties on Tuesday met President Pratibha Patil to demand immediate convening of the Monsoon Session of Parliament.

The leaders accused the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance Government of subverting the Constitution by deciding to do away with the monsoon session and convening a combined session.

TDP to launch campaign against UPA Govt’s failures from todayKrishna (Andhra Pradesh), July 28: The main Opposition party in Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) will today launch a campaign against the Congress-led UPA Government making the public aware about the failures of the Government during its four-year rule.

The party would kick-start the six-day campaign from the state’s Krishna district.

The campaign is being organised after the Centre won the confidence motion on July 22 over the Indo-US nuclear deal.

JMM, TDP to decide on UPA support today

New Delhi, July 13: The Jharkhan Mukti Morcha (JMM) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) will separately meet today to decide on support to Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government.

Chandrababu Naidu meets Left leaders over Indo-US nuclear deal

New Delhi, July 3: Telegu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu met Left leaders Prakash Karat and AB Bardhan ahead of the crucial United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA) meeting which would finalise its strategy on the Indo-US nuclear deal.

Senior TDP leaders Yerran Naidu and Ram Mohan Rao also joined TDP chief during his meeting with the Left leaders. 

TDP chief did not divulge details about the meeting and described it as just a personal visit.

On Wednesday, National Security Adviser MK Narayanan had met Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh to brief him on the technicalities of the nuke deal.
