TatvaMoksh ends on a grand note

Tech students of SIES, Nerul held annual festival

Nerul-based SIES College is abuzz with activities and the latest was TatvaMoksh-09, a three-day annual festival by the students of School of Technology. The festival which was held last week had a plethora of events from dancing, singing, fashion show, photography web designing and more. According to organisers, the event was a platform for all students to exhibit their respective talent.

Apart from cultural events, some of the events were Code Warz, Java, debates and technical paper presentations which judged the participants on their presentation and technical skills. Another interesting event was ethical hacking workshop which was conducted by Ghanshyam Bhagtani who is the recipient of 'Instructor of the Year Award in India' from EC-Council. The students who attended the workshop were awarded with certificates.

While for the gamers there was Frag Em'- The LAN gaming event which included Age of empire, counter strike, FIFA, NFS and DOTA. Apart from these, there were robotics which included hurdle race, F1, robo soccer, robo sumo and autonomous line follower. Apart from these, awards were given out for the best male model, best female model, envious close-up smile and more. The other event which attracted huge audience was AM Rock - 'the battle of the bands'.

The three-day event came to an end with Distortion-09, a rock show which had Bhayanak Maut. "The show was attended in large numbers," said one of the students from the college.

Darshan Suvarna, IEEE chairperson, SIES GST said, "I am extremely happy as the whole event was very successful. It was a collective team effort," he said. He further informed that the organising the event was a great learning experience. Apart from that it is also an opportunity to polish ones soft skills and indulge in ones interests and showcase their talents.
