Tata Motors posts a 41% rise

tata-nano-productionAfter gaining significant momentum as far as the Nano production is concerned, the largest home grown auto major Tata Motors has recently reported a 41 per cent increase in vehicle sales to 67,799 units in July, 2010.

In fact, as compared to the 48,054 units that the company sold in the same month of the previous year, it is very much clear that Nano is playing a big role for the company to gain high numbers in the Indian market.

As the company posted a over 50% rise in the total passenger vehicles sales in the domestic market, the figures stood at 30,165 units in July this year, as against 19,881 units in the same month last year.

The company said in a statement that the exports grew by 73 per cent to 4,241 units in July, 2010, compared to 2,455 units in the same month last year.

It is to be mentioned here that the company sold 9,000 units of its small car, 'Nano'. Moreover, the flagship model of the company i.e. 'Indica' reported sales of 8,606 units, a marginal increase of over one per cent compared to the figure for July, 2009.
