Tata Communications has declared its year-end quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2009-10 and has reported a net loss in this year. The company has posted a loss of Rs 598 crore for the year that ended in 31st March, 2010.

There has been a huge loss at Neotel, South Africa which is a subsidiary of Tata Communications. There has been an annual loss of Rs 464-crore from the shareholding company Neotel itself. Tata Comm holds a 49.01% share in this South African company.

So far as the consolidated revenues of the firm are concerned, it has increased to Rs 11,026-crore during the fiscal year 2009-10.

It has Rs 9,963-crore for previous year. This has been informed by the firm in a press release.

The annual operating profit (EBIDTA) of the company was reported to be of Rs 1,012 crore for the year under review from Rs 1,366-crore crore last year. As per the company officials the board has not decided to recommend any dividend for the financial year 2009-10.
