Tata Communication inks ‘Strategic Alliance’ with QtelTata Communication, a leading global provider of a communication solutions, has entered into a strategic alliance with Qtel, that will strengthen both companies' network reach in the region and internationally.

Under the terms of the agreement, both the companies will align their infrastructures and work together to provide secure, scalable and flexible connectivity solution including Ethernet, MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) and a wide variety of managed services to their global customers.

According to an official release, the agreement will enable Tata Communication to deliver Layer 2 Ethernet over SDH, Ethernet over MPLS and a range of configuration including unique Dedicated Multipoint Ethernet Services to its international network of customers through Qtel.

While in return, Qtel customers will get access to a range of new MEF (Metro Ethernet Forum) certified services, delivered via Tata Communications' major networks of submarine cables, which are among the most significant in the world, and its Tier-1 IP network that spans across five continents.

Market experts believe that latest agreement will complement the ambitious growth of both companies.

The scrip of Tata Communication closed today at Rs 481, down 5% compared to previous close of Rs 508. The counter has made 52-week-high and low of Rs 651 and Rs 320 respectively.
