Sunsilk Creates A 'Hair Fashion' Trend At LFW

There is no better platform for cosmetic products than to present it in style directly in forth of its target audience. ‘Sunsilk’, which is one of the most widely used hair care products in the nation among the women, exploited the fashion platform flaunting its new range ‘Sunsilk Style’ at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) at Mumbai.

The brand was launched with elegance as the Sunsilk’s Brand Ambassador, Priyanka Chopra herself endorsing a new hairdo walked the ramp. The stage was further set on fire with the new hairstyle being presented by actress Kangana Ranaut and model Mugdha Godse. While Priyanka wore a straight hairdo, Kangana was seen with curled locks and Mughda in a layered hairstyle.

Famous Dress designer Narendra Kumar seems to be amused with the new range Sunsilk has come up with, as he presented his new collection ‘Nari Nari’ by dressing up his models in three comtemporary hairstyle that are presently in vogue- straight, curls and layers. The Fashion designer quoted, “My new label called 'Nari Nari' which is inspired by the Sunsilk Style range is very young, hip and for the stylish women of today which is exactly like Sunsilk.”

Andrew Barton, an internationally acclaimed hairstylist was specially invited by the Sunsilk from UK especially for the show who worked with designer Narendra Kunar to adorn the models presenting his new collection with the three signature styles- straight, curls and layers. The hairstylist who has been associated with the brand for the past four years was also nominated as the ‘The British Hairdresser of the Year 2006-07’and is credited to do hairdo for Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams and Kate Moss etc.

Narendra who was happy commented that, "The Sunsilk Layers style inspired me to create the contemporary Flapper girl look which is the 20s look, while the Sunsilk Curls style inspired me to create Farrah Fawcett's sunny look which was the 70's super model look."
