Sri Lanka condemns bomb attacks in New Delhi

Colombo - The Sri Lankan government on Sunday condemned the series of bomb attacks in New Delhi and declared that it stands in solidarity with India in its efforts to eradicate terrorism.

"Sri Lanka unequivocally condemns such barbaric acts of terrorism, which can never be justified under any circumstance for whatever reason," the Sri Lankan Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"In this hour of grief, the government and people of Sri Lanka stand by the people and the government of India in sympathy with those who suffered as a result of indiscriminate terrorist bombing and stand in solidarity with all comprehensive measures that are being taken by the authorities in India to eradicate terrorism," the statement said.
