South pays the best in auto components

Ma Foi Randstad MD K PandiarajanWith the industry being in the best of its moods as the automakers are registering positive results backed by aggressive launches and easier availability of finance, a recent study shows that increments for the period of 2010-11 are expected to be between 11-13%.

According to the recently released report by the consulting and outsourcing arm of Ma Foi Randstad titled 'Ma Foi Randstad Workmen Compensation Report' explained that the monthly compensation for the southern region is leading by about 8-10%, while western region is ahead of North by just about 2%.

Moreover, the report further highlighted the fact that the southern region leads with Rs 12,695 paid to a worker on an average, followed by west at Rs 11,807 and north at Rs 11,618.

Ma Foi Randstad MD K Pandiarajan said that the study is an attempt to gain more knowledge on the human capital challenges that the auto components industry is suffering from. Pandiarajan also highlighted the fact that the study is also aiming to bring changes in line with the best industry practices, strategic decisions by creating a robust remuneration framework for the auto components manufacturers.
